Me

My name is Alessandro. I am a Fashion Design graduate from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and I have been honing my craft in design and styling for the past five years.

 

My driving principles in my fashion work is storytelling and attention to detail. The former comes from my love of narrative in clothing, how the clothes we wear are imbued with emotions and story into where we have come from. Also, I believe that identity through dress is a core element in all my work, exploring how dress acts as an doorway to inner meaning and an insight into who we are.

My focus on attention to detail comes from my strong work ethic and meticulous details in my work.

 

Within my work, I focus mainly on cohesion and an overarching message, being able to focus on minute details while remembering the overall goal. I appreciate every aspect of the design process, from the initial sketch of the garment, to the makeup and lighting and styling in the final photoshoot, collectively striving for what the final product is aiming to convey.

Now that I have graduated, I continue to explore what it is I bring to the table as a designer and producer, and to re-discover the original core motivation that brought me to study fashion in the first place.
